I was first introduced to handmade soap when I was searching for an all-natural, organic cleansing product I could use on my sensitive skin. Other soaps and shower gels were so harsh and drying and left my skin red and irritated, I thought there had to be something else I could use on my skin that was moisturizing, mild and cleansing.

I soon discovered handmade soap and loved how natural it was, with no preservatives, no parabens or sodium laurel sulfates, because handmade soap is REAL soap and not the harsh detergents you find in the stores.

After using my first bar of handmade soap, I was hooked! Not only did it do a great job of removing dirt, but it left my skin so moisturized and supple. I used to always slather on the lotion after washing my hands or showering because my skin was stripped of its natural oils and felt so dry and tight. But not after using the handmade soap, I didn’t need lotion anymore!

I started using handmade soap on a regular basis, and loved the variety of fragrances available. I could always try something new. With store-bought soap I was limited to only a few scents and I didn’t like most of them. But the variety of scents available in handmade formulas got me hooked and I bought tons of soap!

With my love of handmade soap, I began a journey into soapmaking and haven’t looked back since! Having a background in art, I am a very artsy and creative person, and I love “designing” each bar of soap for specific properties and aesthetics. Each is truly its own creation!
